Biography of Linda Piersón
A native of So Cali, the world-renowned artist practically lives in paint clothes and artfully traipses around the globe, painting and exhibiting her divine God-inspired masterpieces for as long as she can remember. Dubbed a Sophisticate Primitive by the late Gino Hollander and his esposa, Barbara. The trio developed a lasting, endearing friendship over the years. Gino, a master of over 13,000 paintings, spotted the young artist's brilliance in her spontaneous energy and use of multiple colors to create a rich, textural ambiance of depth, and the two critiqued one another's works daily. Pierson graduated from High School in 2 ½ years and followed with a Painting Major and Philosophy Minor at IVC, SBCC, and SDSU. At 15 years of age, she packed her beloved Rusty Red Karmann Ghia to the hilt and sauntered off to Santa Barbara to run her Brother's Herbs Leather Shop and do the Cabrillo Art Shows with her sister-in-law, Judy Pierson. Gallivanting throughout France and Italy with fellow creative souls at 19 years of age, the budding enterpriser sold a fresh piece right off the easel in Avignon to Denis and Yvonne Tate, affiliated with the original Tate Galleries.Lcolore’ has taught public and private art classes throughout the United States.
As the owner-acting contractor, the designer spearheaded several painting co-ops and building remodels. In 1995, she took a 24’ x 117’ warehouse and converted it into a two-story, 15 Suite Mini Mall, complete with Multiple Art Studios, Beauty Salons, and French doors and windows throughout, which she ran for 25 years. For a year in the early 2000s, La Femme Creative operated a closet-sized Gallery in La Jolla.
After her adored mom, Ginny Piersón, passed away in 2005, she brought her Pop to her home and cared for him for 5 years until his peaceful demise. In 2015. Ms. Piersón purchased a 118-year-old home in Julian, California, which she embraced as an Inn for 6 years. Come 2020, her son Ricky needed 24/7 care due to advanced Schizophrenia, a compilation of head injuries, a Stroke, and a Heart Attack. As a devoted Mom, she sold the Julian place and established a steady, loving existence at their El Centro Casa. A plan for a trust fund for her son is on the table. It will be funded through the sales of canvases and volumes of My Painted Soul.
Over the years, Linda Piersón has lived and hatched studios in the States of California, New York, New Jersey, British Columbia, Washington, and Georgia. The Impressionist often connects with fellow artists, such as Charles Bibbs, Donald Odell Walker, the late Arso Ivanovich, the late Cedella Marley Booker, and Derrick Simmons, amongst others—mom of two fabulous children, Ginny & Ricky, and Mimi to two beautiful Granddaughters. The visual & musing freedom in her panels and writings is often felt through her brushstrokes and whimsical tales. The avant-garde's zealous desire to paint is frequently profuse. Pierson daubs on canvases ranging from small to humongous, portraying colorful, passionate thoughts that address humanitarian issues, which are incorporated into island and rural themes. She is also known for her Celebrity Portraits, peintures de fleurs, and Sailboats on the Water. Winning many 1st place awards, her work has been displayed at galleries, boutiques, and art shows in private and public locations throughout the world.
